AGO Members' Only Preview Days

The New AGO Opens November 2008!

AGO Members and Campaign Donors will be the first to see the New AGO!

AGO Members' Preview Days:

Mark your calendar! Be one of the first to test run the new AGO during Members' Preview Days. AGO staff and volunteers are already making preparations to ensure that your initial visit to Canada's first Frank Gehry-designed building is a memorable experience. In addition to our extraordinary new home, you'll enjoy the expanded AGO collection, displayed in innovative and exciting ways.

Experience more than 4,000 works of art on view in 110 newly installed, light-filled galleries, including the internationally acclaimed Thomson Collection, Galleria Italia, the J.S. McLean Centre for Canadian Art, the European collection and the Centre for Contemporary Art.

Stroll through the light-filled Galleria Italia and the Joey and Toby Tanenbaum Sculpture Atrium.

Relax in the beautiful Norma Ridley Members' Lounge (exclusively for members). A selection of light snacks and beverages will be available to members during regular Gallery hours, beginning November 18, 2008.

Savour the flavours in the new AGO Restaurant and Café (limited Restaurant reservations will be available during Members' Preview Days).

Browse the new AGO Shop, with its selection of books, prints, jewellery and one-of-a-kind gift items.

Gallery Guides will be available to answer your questions, share ideas, lead Gallery tours and encourage discussion through short presentations.

Campaign donors are also invited to attend these special days.

There is so much to experience at the new AGO that you'll come back again and again! Watch for future enewsletters and keep watching www.ago.net for updates and details.

Helpful Hints for Members

Members' Preview Days are a unique opportunity for members and all campaign donors to test run the Gallery in advance and avoid the crowds expected at the official Free Public Days, November 14–16.

Please note that guest passes will not be available for purchase during Members' Preview Days. If student and individual members would like to bring a companion, it is possible to upgrade to the Family/Dual membership, which includes admission for two adult cardholders and up to five children ages 17 and under.

Members at Contributing or higher membership levels, as well as Corporate, Foundation, Permanent, Life and Artist Life members, please refer to the back of your membership card for the number of guests you are entitled to bring.

Memberships can be purchased, renewed or upgraded during Members' Preview Days at the Membership Desk. For fast service, renew before November. To ensure quick access to the Gallery, remember to bring your membership card every time you visit.

To join, or to renew or upgrade your membership today, call 416-979-6620 or click here.
