About the Prints and Drawings Collection

Back to Calendar of Events, Prints and Drawings

Spanning five centuries, the AGO's collection of prints and drawings now boasts over 15,000 works by artists from Michelangelo to Picasso, David Milne and Jessie Oonark. Other international artists included in the collection are James Tissot,Ernst Barlach and Henry Moore as well as numerous works by Canadian artists David Milne, Betty Goodwin and David Blackwood.

The prints and drawings collection has been enhanced by a significant acquisition of Rembrandt etchings and a large collection of humorous, satirical and illustrative graphic artworks. This collection is one of the fastest growing collections at the AGO. Each year, the Gallery acquires new works on paper through purchase and donation.
